What you can expect

We will provide plentiful quantities of fruits and vegetables grown at Happy Hen Farm, occasionally supplemented with produce from fellow area farmers. Our Full share will feed 2 - 3 vegetable loving adults while our Half share is designed for folks who live alone or a couple with smaller appetites.

Greens and cool weather crops predominate in the spring, and variety increases as the weather warms.

In addition to produce you will receive eggs from our free run hens. The Happy Hens live the life of REAL chickens. Since egg production can be affected by the weather as much as field crops we will provide eggs as often as the hens cooperate.

From time to time we will add a bouquet of fresh flowers.

A vegetable cookbook will start off your season of good eating.

At the close of the season you will receive one of Ora’s handwoven tea towels. Examples may be viewed on our web site www.happyhenfarm.com.

A weekly newsletter will let you know what is happening at our farm.

We will deliver your share to your doorstep (for folks living within the city limits of Lacey, Olympia and Tumwater) each Wednesday afternoon. For people living outside that geographic area delivery arrangements will need to be made on a case to case basis. Or you may pick up at the farm on Wed., Sat. or Sun.
